The Black Fist Security Corps.

The secret police created exclusively for Simulatrix to give them a competitive edge in the corporate world. Specializing in black operations, The Black Fist deals in espionage, surveillance, sabotage, kidnapping, torture, and assassination. Their ranks are made up of ex military special forces, the most dangerous out of the bunch recruited through harsh training that takes years inside of their underground training facilities.

Simulatrix is paying the security company well enough to keep them away from their own throats, but with direct orders to search out test subjects, ones that haven’t been modified. Their secondary mission is to flush out the street gangs which have become something of a threat.

Not much is known yet, aside from a special interest in the street level. Fresh people coming in every week through the port means fresh test subjects for Simulatrix’s new program.

Medics

Anyone in the medical field, from military doctors and field medics, to high-end surgeons, to EMT’s to underground Street Docs. Any who practice the healing arts, or other related fields (whether helpful to humanity or not).

Tend Wounds: heals wounds on target
Tourniquet: Heals damage to target
Revive: Negates target death timer.

Synth Lupines

The biggest, strongest and most brutal of the synths, the lupine embodies the bestial rage in us all. Some have the ability to shape shift into Man, wolf or even half-man, half-beast form. The lupine gains its power through anger, gaining more and more power the more damage it receives, and uses it to inflict even more damage on their opponent.

Howl: debuff targets agility
Bash: Direct damage to target
Rend: direct damage to target.

Synth Vampires

Blood drinkers, powerful and wicked, these Synths were the first of the successful gene-modification experiments. But of course they went terribly wrong. It was only the later generations of Vamps that became moderately civilized (for a cold-blooded killer). Their powers stem from the manipulation of the blood they consume.

Celerity: self-buff agility
Gouge: direct damage to target
Tear Vein: damage over time
Protean: self buff strength
Fortify: self buff toughness

Synth Felines

A genetically altered person-using Feline modified DNA. Fast and stealthy, the feline has abilities to make itself faster, and cause more damage.

Lick Wounds: heal self of damage
Heighten Sense: Self-buff agility
Hiss: Debuff targets agility
Scratch: Direct damage to target
Disembowel: Direct damage to target.

Modern advances in Genetic Engineering lead to the possibility of splicing human DNA with other life forms. The earliest test in this area, performed by government military doctors and scientists, were catastrophic failures, but government and corporate funding went undeterred. With the formulation of reliable processes and procedures, a handful of new species, the Synthetics (or “Synths”) were created.

The earliest of the Synths were very uncontrollable and unreliable, and often caused more chaos and havoc than was intended. Public perception, upon discovery of these quasi-legal modifications, was one of fear and outrage, and many civil judicial systems put laws in place for the lawful eradication of any synth found in their territories. The common people developed hatred, spurred on by fear, of the synths. Many lynchings and back alley executions took place, as mob mentality took over, forcing anyone with a true synthetic modification to keep their identity as a synth a secret.

SYNTHS in RP

Synth characters do not necessarily have the physical/visual traits associated with the character types, these are abilities only. Visual characteristics of the types are usually implants or body modifications applied to the normal human. They can be normal looking “humans” with these abilities hidden under the surface. Allowing the synth to hide amongst human society. Those that choose to have their character able to morph into another physical form must take care, as it is illegal to display true synthetic abilities with out the risk of destruction.

Glitterati

Essentially the Idle Rich (or those that pretend to be so) who want to seem like they are at the top of the elitist food chain. These people flaunt their wealth to impress others and show their “success”. Pop Stars, Media Starlets, and Mafia bosses all fit well into this category.

Bitch Slap: direct damage to target
Talk Smack: Buff targets agility
Smooth Talk: buff target
The Hand: Take no damage; reflect a portion of it back.

Corporates

One who has the organizational mind, use to leading in-group situations, and often-focused on results, over methods. Their abilities are used to pump up their allies and tear down their opponents.

Analyze: buff targets agility
Boardroom Glare: debuff targets will power
Call Meeting: area of effect pull all to you
Berate: debuff target strength
Downsize: area of effect direct damage

Street Rats

Those who live their lives out in the streets, who know the ways of how things work, the hum of “Biz”, who feel the ebb and flow of the city. Not necessarily homeless, these are those that are in touch with the streets. Their skills are often sneak attacks, or self-serving debuffs.

Low Blow: direct damage to target
Street Smarts: debuff target agility
Cheap Shot: Direct damage to target
Slash: damage over time to target.

Soldiers

These characters are those with military type training. Having abilities that protect and support their allies, and damage their opponents.

Abilities:

Bludgeon: direct damage to target
Stand Your Ground: take some damage, reflect a portion of it back
Rally: Boost will power of those you target.
Riot Shield: Take no damage, reflect a portion of it back.
